men can grasp themselves as a coherent group when talking about male suicide rates but as soon as you bring up that way men are more likely to be murderers or rapists than to commit suicide and that murder-suicides and suicides to avoid accountability also count into suicide statistics suddenly it‘s „not all men“ lol
the suicide rate is not an indicator that male mental health is somehow in a worse state than female mental health; women attempt suicide more often but men succeed more often; men are more likely to commit suicide to avoid accountability; mental illness like depression and anorexia is more common among women.
the male violence rate on the other hand is a pretty clear indiciator of … well, male violence.
Not only the suicide rate, but also the coping mechanisms used. Men will get onto the internet and brag about how they simply shut down emotionally after minor inconveniences, and describe behaviors in response to stressors that are literally the brain trying to save it’s meat suit from suicide, and then simply refuse to believe that it takes more for a woman to shut down and hit that same point, but that women indeed *do* hit a point of shutting down emotionally. They fucking *hate* that while women do trend towards being more expressive, they have better resiliency before their brain goes into survival mode and shutting down.
i learned that the world record for the loudest thing ever shouted belongs to an Irish female teacher who shouted the word “quiet” at 121 decibels, the equivalent of a jet engine (x)

Okay please read this whole article because there is important information in ther, including;
1. She never yells at her students- her record breaking 121 decibel shout happened during an event she’d been invited to. She was defending her title after setting the previous shouting record during a competition at a church camp, where she got to 119.4 decibels
2. The only reason she entered the first competition was because her twin sister had entered and was about to win with a shout of 119.1 decibels.
3. They took her to an expert to try to understand how she shouted so very loud and his conclusion was that her supernatural volume was fueled entirely by her need to beat her sister.
YIKES i deleted the post thank you so much for letting me know. i fucking hate how terfs make their arguments seemingly reasonable so they get spread when in reality their views are disgusting. like i disagree with society making people feel like they have to get cosmetic surgery to be beautiful but i just KNOW they didn’t mean their post like that bc terfs never do.
i have so many thoughts on cosmetic surgery bc on one hand i fucking hate how society has pushed so many people into wanting to undergo these procedures to fit in some eurocentric image of “beauty” but i also completely understand why someone might get cosmetic surgery in order to make their life easier bc beauty bias is real and insecurities fucking suck to deal with. people (especially women and fem people) are shamed into getting cosmetic surgery then shamed for getting cosmetic surgery and it’s a real damned if you do damned if you don’t situation so i can’t blame anyone for choosing one side over another, just the society that created the situation in the first place.
